Introduced by the renowned plant collector Ernest Wilson in the early 20th Century, this a very hardy and reliable evergreen climber. Happy in most soils and situations, it will cling to a wall or fence with ease. Reasonably slow growing, but certainly worthwhile for the sprays of tiny white flowers produced in late summer and early autumn.
Simply the best evergreen climber you can own. Masses of dark green leaves are held upon twining stems which in mid summer are followed by loads of tiny jasmine-like flowers that smell divine. Once the frost has been, the leaves take on fabulous autumn colour from reds through to purple.
